"Bunch of bull***t prices" - NFL fans balk at ticket prices for AFC and NFC championship games

NFC divisional playoffs: New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles

NFL fans are not impressed by the ticket prices set for the AFC and NFC championship games this weekend.

The average price, on Tick Pick, currently stands at $559 for the AFC championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals. Tickets for the NFC championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers will cost $1,110 on average.

While it's undeniable that both the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City are two of the NFL's best atmospheres, the ticket prices are ridiculous, fans feel. Fans made their point clear in a tweet citing the average price:

"Bunch of bulls*** prices," one fan tweeted.

Tickets for the AFC championship game are an even more interesting discussion, as the game had a chance of being played in Atlanta as a neutral-site field following what happened to Damar Hamlin and the Buffalo Bills in Week 17.

When will the NFL conference championship games happen?

Both the AFC championship game (Bengals vs. Chiefs) and the NFC championship game (49ers vs. Eagles) will be played on Sunday.

The first game will be the NFC title game at 3 p.m. ET. Following the conclusion, the AFC takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The games are slated to be the polar opposite. The NFC conference championship has two excellent defenses going head-to-head with perhaps the NFL's two best overall rosters.

In the AFC, though, there are two great teams with the two best quarterbacks in the league, making for an offensive show.

Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy, quarterbacks for the Eagles and the 49ers, respectively, will be playing in their first conference championship games. Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow, quarterbacks for the Chiefs and the Bengals, will replay the AFC championship game from a year ago.

Although there's little debate about Mahomes being the best quarterback in the league, he has played three times against Burrow and lost every game. Playing at home with a Super Bowl berth on the line, there's no better way to get revenge and finally get over the Bengals.

No matter which teams qualify for the Super Bowl, what we know is that it's going to be a helluva game.
