Cam Ward has been in the limelight since the Tennessee Titans took him at No. 1 this year. However, the quarterback's eagerness to learn saw him get kicked out of the Titans' facility on a few occasions.
In April, Titans coach Brian Callahan labeled Ward's work ethic as "top-notch." However, he recently revealed that Ward regularly arrives at the team's facility at 5 a.m., which led to the quarterback being sent back home on some days. On Saturday, Ward explained how being early was part of his routine.
“It’s just my process," Ward said, via NFL insider Don Kleiman. "It’s how I’ve always been in college until now. It’s how I get everything in, whether it’s film, treatment-wise. I gotta get everything in to start my day, to end my day by whatever time you gotta get it done.”

Ward transferred to Miami in 2024 for his final year of college football. He recorded 4,313 passing yards, 39 touchdowns, seven interceptions and four rushing touchdowns during his lone season with the Hurricanes. Ward also finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
A look at Cam Ward's rookie contract with the Titans

Cam Ward reportedly signed a four-year $48,839,618 rookie contract with the Titans after he was selected at No. 1 in April. The quarterback will earn $32,159,720 as a signing bonus and will have an average annual salary of $12,209,905.
Although Ward is tipped to be the starting quarterback for the Titans next season, the team has yet to confirm its QB1. The coaching staff wants the rookie to earn the QB1 role in the offseason.
The Titans have not made the postseason since 2022, but many feel that Ward could lead them to the playoffs next season.
