The third installment of the duel between siblings Jim and John Harbaugh went in favor of the latter, as the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 30-23 at SoFi Stadium on Monday, improving to 8-4 on the season. The game was a tight, back-and-forth affair until midway through the fourth quarter when the Ravens extended their lead to 30-16 on a 51-yard touchdown run by Justice Hill.

The Chargers appeared poised to respond with a touchdown of their own on the subsequent drive after wide receiver Jordan Palmer drew a pass interference penalty on Ravens cornerback Brandon Stephens deep in Baltimore territory.

LA was seemingly six yards away from making it a one-score game, but the officials had a discussion, deemed the pass uncatchable, and voided the penalty. The Chargers were forced to punt the ball away and the Ravens' subsequent drive took nearly four minutes off the clock, virtually ending the home team's odds of a comeback.

Fans on social media were incensed about the decision and voiced their frustration:

"I can understand not calling this but how do you pick up the flag," a fan said.

Some fans argued that the pass was only uncatchable because Stephens impeded Palmer from getting to the ball.

"When the defender stops Palmer from finishing his route, you can’t then say it was uncatchable. Makes zero sense," one fan said.
"Ever considered WHY this was “uncatchable?” Gee maybe the f**king PASS INTERFERENCE holding Palmer back away from the ball," another fan said.
"Palmer got interfered with. Uncatchable because he was held and couldn’t get to the spot in time," one fan said.

John Harbaugh remains undefeated against brother Jim

The Ravens' narrow win over the Chargers in the third 'Har-Bowl' extended coach John Harbaugh's unbeaten record against his younger brother to 3-0 in head-to-head clashes as head coaches.

The two first met in the 2011 regular season when Jim was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. The Ravens beat them 16-6 in a defensive slugfest at M&T Bank Stadium.

They met again a season later in Super Bowl 47. Unlike the first games, the second was a points fest, where the Ravens edged out the 49ers 34-31 and hoisted the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in franchise history.

Over 12 years later, the elder brother still knows the trick to beat his young sibling.
