Chris Conley announced his retirement from the NFL on Saturday after playing 10 seasons in the league. The wideout spent his last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
After Conley posted a heartfelt note about calling it quits on Instagram, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey reposted it on his Instagram story and paid tribute to the WR.
"It was an honor," McCaffrey wrote on his IG story.

McCaffrey and Conley played together at San Francisco for two seasons. They helped the team reach the Super Bowl in 2024, when the 49ers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. McCaffrey had won the Offensive Player of the Year award that season.
However, McCaffrey's 2024 season was plagued by injuries. He suffered from bilateral Achilles tendonitis at the start of the season and then tore his PCL after just four games for the 49ers, which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
McCaffrey put up 202 yards on 50 carries, while adding 146 yards on 15 receptions with no touchdowns last season.
The superstar RB has returned to training with the team this offseason and has looked sharp at the OTAs, according to 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan.
While many are eagerly awaiting McCaffrey's return, San Francisco fans will not see Conley in action for the 2025 season.
