Christian McCaffrey gets warning from Donald Trump’s ‘fav author’ – “He was just traded from Trump country to a liberal hellscape”

San Francisco 49ers v Carolina Panthers

Former president Donald Trump may or may not have any reaction to Christian McCaffrey being traded from the Carolina Panthers to the San Francisco 49ers. But his 'fav author' Nick Adams certainly had a lot to say about it.

Not that he was worried about the offensive line of the 49ers and whether they would be able to open running channels for Christian McCaffrey. Not whether the coaching would suit the running back's style, but the fact that he was moving from North Carolina to San Francisco.

What Nick Adams was more concerned about was Donald Trump and liberalism, which was surprising because he had presumably eschewed bringing politics into football.

He famously called Colin Kaepernick a clown for the former NFL quarterback's stance on police brutality. He sought prayers from Christian McCaffrey because the running back was moving from "Trump country" North Carolina to "liberal hell scape" San Francisco.

One point to note is that even though North Carolina has a conservative tilt and both its Senators are from the Republican party, its Governor is from the Democratic party. Meanwhile, California indeed tends to be liberal with both Senators and the Governor from the Democratic party. Also Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi represents San Francisco.

Whether Christian McCaffrey needs our prayers is, of course, unknown. Considering that he played college football in California at Stanford University, it might not be too tough for him to relocate back to that area.

Christian McCaffrey's previous comments regarding Donald Trump

Christian McCaffrey has never been overtly political in public, but even as a rookie, he was pretty well adjusted. After Donald Trump went after NFL players when Colin Kaepernick and others started kneeling during the national anthem, many divisions were seen around the league and the wider society.

In his rookie year at the time, the running back attempted to calm proceedings around him by reaching out to his faith in the Bible and exhorting everyone to be respectful.

"I think the biggest thing for me, if I can spread a message to people, it's just that there's a lot of hate going on in the world today. I think it's really important that everybody takes a step back, looks themselves in the mirror and when they wake up, just try to be the best person they can be.
"Treat people with respect, put a smile on somebody else's face and if you don't have to, don't spread any negativity because it's not good for anybody... I'm a religious person and I think the Bible's a great place to start - spreading positivity, being selfless, being giving and being kind. I think that's the main thing that I kind of want to dish out."

It is something that is sorely lacking even today and has not been helped by people like Trump's author of choice who don't seem to have gotten the message.
