The Indianapolis Colts suffered an unexpected - and heavy - defeat on Sunday. Playing against the Green Bay Packers with Malik Willis as the starter, the Colts could never stop the Packers' running game and finished the game with a 0-2 record to start the season.
Of all the losses, this was certainly the most unexpected one. Indianapolis played a great game against the Houston Texans to open the season, and even though they couldn't finish the game, there were plenty of encouraging signs. But the Packers were missing Jordan Love after he suffered an injury in Brazil.
The embarrassing play from the run defense and from Anthony Richardson had plenty of fans upset with the team and asking to draft a new quarterback. While this is not going to happen, reactions to the defeat were certainly negative.

One of the most unimpressive things to see in Week 1 was how long it took for Gus Bradley to make any adjustments on defense as the Texans tore them through the ground. The Packers had over 200 rushing yards in the first half, so you can imagine how it felt to the fans to see it all over again.
How much is Colts QB Anthony Richardson similar to Cam Newton?
The two former Florida quarterbacks are similar in many areas. While athleticism is the first one that comes to mind, their play style and the fact that both played for Florida (although Cam Newton transferred to Auburn later in his college career) provide an interesting comparison.
Having a good athletic profile can cut you a lot of flack in the league, especially as it relates to things such as completing passes in short windows or escaping the pocket to get yards on the move.
These are two things that Newton was excellent at, and the Indianapolis Colts sophomore can become a great quarterback with the same playing style. However, he does need to improve. One thing is to not have experience, especially as he played just 13 games in college. But that's not an excuse that can last forever in the NFL.
