Davante Adams gives his honest response to Jimmy Garoppolo signing with the Raiders

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on a three-year deal. Despite being linked with Aaron Rodgers, the Raiders opted to get Garoppolo.

Davante Adams, who was traded by the Green Bay Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders last season, campaigned for a Rodgers trade for his team, but his wish was not granted. He will now play alongside Garoppolo while Rodgers edges closer to the New York Jets.

After Garoppolo signed with the Raiders, Adams posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story. The message said:

"If we haven't talked in 3 weeks don't hit me about this s--t. Thanks"

It seems like Davante Adams isn't happy with the Las Vegas Raiders opting for Jimmy Garoppolo instead of Aaron Rodgers.

The Raiders didn't make the playoffs last season and proceeded to part ways with Derek Carr. Carr, who is Adams' best friend, has now signed for the New Orleans Saints and will hope to redeem himself in the NFC South.

The Raiders' acquisition of Garoppolo doesn't move the needle for them as the AFC West is still stacked, and it'll require a massive effort from them to even make the playoffs next season.

As per Adam Schefter, Garoppolo is signing a three-year, $67.5 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. He will be getting $34 million in guaranteed money as he reunites with Josh McDaniels.

McDaniels was the New England Patriots offensive coordinator while Garoppolo served as Tom Brady's backup, and the Raiders head coach is hoping that Jimmy G will get the job done for him in Las Vegas.

Last season, Garoppolo played only 11 games in which he had a passer rating of 103.0 for 2,437 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. Josh McDaniels wanted a quarterback who could play well from the pocket and Garoppolo is certainly that type of quarterback.

With an array of weapons alongside him in the form of Davante Adams, Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow, and Josh Jacobs, the former 49ers quarterback will hope to prove his critics wrong by staying on the west coast.
