Aaron Rodgers made his return to the field after a year on Monday night. However, despite trying his best, the veteran quarterback could not lead his team to victory. Rodgers was then taken out for the last few snaps of the game for the backup QB. Now his former teammate Davante Adams has rated his performance.
The New York Jets struggled on both sides of the ball on the road. They went behind in the first quarter and could not manage a comeback as they allowed points in every quarter. Rodgers was unable to put his spell on the game and perform a miracle. However, his former Green Bay Packers wide receiver saw nothing wrong with him.
On Tuesday, Davante Adams appeared on the "Up & Adams" show and broke down Monday night's game. The Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver took the side of his former QB.
“Honestly, he looked really good to me," said Adams. “When you see the results out there it’s a combination of the O-line blocking, the guys making plays, catching the ball, throwing, timing. For him having missed a full year of competitive football, I think he looked really good up there.”

Aaron Rodgers and Adams played together for the Packers for eight seasons. Adams was traded in 2022, and a year later, Rodgers was dealt as well.
Aaron Rodgers hopes for a reunion with Davante Adams
During the offseason, Aaron Rodgers missed the Jets' minicamp for his trip to Egypt and then ignited rumors of Davante Adams getting traded to the Jets. However, Rodgers cleared the air during his appearance on the "Up & Adams" show.
“I'd love to play with Davante again,” said Rodgers. “It might be in the 2028 Olympics if they let some of the old guys go out and play. But we'll see. I mean I want him to have great success. And I love him.”
Several analysts suggested that Rodgers’ interest in reuniting with Adams could be a financial boon for the six-time Pro Bowl WR. That trade has not materialized but both players want each other to succeed with their teams nevertheless.
