DeAndre Carter Raiders contract: How much will WR earn in Las Vegas?

The Las Vegas Raiders just signed former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DeAndre Carter on a one-year, $2.375 million contract. That comes after Carter had the best season of his seven-year NFL career.

Last season, Carter was a solid piece of the Chargers, putting up a stat line of 48 pass catches, 538 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown came against the Raiders in their two meetings last season.

That's more yards than he had against any other team last season, which also made an impression. Carter's TD catch came from 23 yards out, and the Las Vegas Raiders could use him as a deep threat. That's where Carter will try to carve out his niche in Las Vegas.

DeAndre Carter will join a Las Vegas Raiders offense with Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs. He will likely be a route-running second-string pass catcher on offense. Let's see how he fairs when coached by a familiar face.

How much has DeAndre Carter earned in his NFL career?

DeAndre Carter has earned $4,181,308 in seven seasons in the NFL. Carter joined the league as an undrafted free agent in 2015.

He played his college football at Sacramento State University, being a solid pass-catching option for the NCAA College. Unfortunately, he wasn't drafted into the league via the 2015 NFL draft. He spent three years looking for his opportunity in the NFL before getting signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent on a $169,410 contract. He played seven games for the Eagles that season.

Carter's next three years were spent playing the Houston Texans, where he earned $1,295,223. He played 32 games for the Texans, acting as a backup option. His performances in Houston earned him a decent contract with the Washington Commanders, his third proper playing gig.

He played in all 17 games for the Commanders, putting up career highs, amassing 296 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the season. He earned $970,000 in his lone season with the Commanders.

After his stint with the Washington Commanders, DeAndre Carter got another contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he caught passes from Justin Herbert. He amassed 538 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 17 games and got paid $1,135,000 for his efforts.

Apart from his salary as a member of the main playing squads on NFL franchises, he has earned a salary as a practice squad member for the likes of the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears.
