Derek Carr sends Antonio Brown a message following photoshopped image dig at Raiders QB

Oakland Raiders v Arizona Cardinals
Former NFL player Antonio Brown and Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr

Derek Carr can throw a deep ball, but the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback can also deflect trolls, especially former teammates. Although Antonio Brown barely stayed in Oakland long enough for a cup of coffee, that fact did not stop the mercurial wide receiver from taking shots at the Raiders starting quarterback.

Ahead of the Raiders’ game against division rival Denver Broncos, Brown tweeted out that he would be betting on Derek β€œCarb” with a photoshopped photo of a heavier-set Carr. The former NFL receiver also indicated he would be placing a cool $10k on the Raiders. Although he did not specify what type of bet was placed at the time of the original tweet, the Raiders won 22 - 16 against the Broncos, winning both the moneyline (+120) and the point spread (+2.5). So it’s safe to assume Brown cashed in on his gamble.

In response to the light trolling, Carr replied with his own retort:

β€œWe eating good tonight!”
We eating good tonight !…

A week after baring his soul to reporters by showing his emotions and disappointment in losing, Carr led the Raiders to a big overtime win over their division rivals with an overtime bomb to star receiver Davante Adams. After all, he who tweets last . . .

Antonio Brown provides proof of betting on Derek Carr

Pulling a Calvin Ridley, only different because he doesn’t play for an NFL team anymore, Antonio Brown came back after the Raiders win and tweeted a photo of his bet ticket:

If he really did make the bet, Brown won $23,599.38 off of a $10,042.29 bet. Not bad for taking a chance on a 2-7 team that also lost during Jeff Saturday’s debut as head coach with the Indianapolis Colts. He has Derek Carr and Davante Adams to thank.

Both the Raiders and the Broncos look to be finishing the year on a disappointing note after entering the season expecting to compete in the AFC West that also boasts the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs. While the Raiders and Broncos were welcoming new head coaches, it looks like the Broncos are more likely to fire theirs after only one season.

As for Derek Carr, he’ll be eating well after that win with Thanksgiving just around the corner.
