The Baltimore Ravens struck big in free agency when they signed free agent running back Derrick Henry to a two-year, $16 million deal. It was one of the biggest moves of the off-season and Henry is expected to help Baltimore's offense to one of the best in 2024.

The Ravens saw Henry in uniform for the first time as the team began day one of OTAs. Henry was caught on video walking out with linebacker Roquan Smith in a purple Ravens jersey and some training clothes.

Nobody was more excited to see Henry in a Ravens uniform than Baltimore fans. The Purple and Black's fans expressed their excitement at Henry in a Ravens uniform.

Here's how fans reacted:

"Pinch me. I must be dreaming," one fan said.
"henry looks tufffff in purp," one fan said.
"Road to the superbowl starts now," another fan said.

More fans reacted in different ways of excitement.

Ravens fans think Derrick Henry is a great addition to the offense and he'll be able to help out Lamar Jackson. With Henry as the backfield's bell-cow, Jackson should be able to limit his own running and scrambling risk.

Here's how other fans reacted:

"OH WE ARE SO BACK #ravensflock," one fan said.
"Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same," another fan said.
"They look like Security...but him and Ro look like they both play LB," another person wrote.

For the last couple of seasons, the Baltimore Ravens have shuffled between running backs. That's largely due to the running backs not staying healthy for long for Baltimore.

Lamar Jackson is arguably the best dual-threat quarterback in the NFL and led the Ravens in rushing yards in each of the past five seasons.

The last time a running back led the Ravens in rushing yards was in 2018 when Gus Edwards had 718 yards during his rookie season. In fact, it's been nearly 10 seasons since the Ravens have had a 1,000-yard rusher.

While Henry is 30 years old and entering the ninth season of his NFL career, he was brought in to be Baltimore's No. 1 back. The team lost both J.K. Dobbins and Edwards in free agency to the Los Angeles Chargers. Derrick Henry is expected to replace both of their voids.

With Henry aging, he hasn't shown many signs of slowing down. He's led the league in rushing attempts in each of the last two seasons and has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in both seasons.
