Deshaun Watson is yet to play a down for the Cleveland Browns and finds himself in the news once again. According to TMZ Sports, the Browns quarterback was caught going 97 miles an hour in a 70 zone. On June 11, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said it caught the former Houston Texans star speeding in the city of Sandusky.
The incident happened less than three months after the Texans traded him to the Browns in a blockbuster trade.
Video footage from a police body cam shows an officer pulling over the star quarterback, asking him if he had any idea how fast he was going. The quarterback responded that he had been traveling from Detroit. Overall, the whole interaction with the cop was friendly.
After a couple of minutes, Watson was issued a ticket and allowed to leave. The case was closed on July 6. Per court records, the 27-year-old paid a $185 fine.
