Deshaun Watson was handed a suspension by the NFL following the legal procedures of 26 lawsuits that were filed against him by multiple women. Watson had already settled 23 lawsuits, while one was dropped, and only two were remaining.

Among the remaining, one was filed after Watson was given an 11-game suspension by the NFL. However, Rusty Hardin, the lawyer for Deshaun Watson, was quick to respond to this new lawsuit that was filed against his client.

Rusty Hardin has claimed that the woman has texted Watson multiple times. The texts depict that the Cleveland Browns quarterback was being regularly approached by the woman.

Watson didn't reply back to any of the woman's texts. This gave Hardin an opportunity to quickly slam the allegations imposed against his client. Hardin said:

"The documents (the woman) provided reflect that for nearly a year after their massage session together, (the woman) sent more than 35 messages to Mr. Watson—none of which were answered by Mr. Watson."

Hardin has already obtained a court order compelling the woman, who initially filed court paperwork under the alias Jane Doe, to expose her identity. According to him, the attorneys for the ladies brought this action anonymously in order to pressure Watson into a hasty settlement.

After 23 other plaintiffs made confidential settlements with Watson to discontinue their cases against him this year, this is the lone lawsuit filed. Hardin believes the new lawsuit filed against Deshaun Watson is of no major substance and it will be interesting to see if there is any more to it.

Deshaun Watson is edging closer to playing for the Cleveland Browns

Deshaun Watson didn't play a single game last season, and this season due to his suspension he has been unable to take the field as of yet. However, he is edging closer to his return to the field, as he will play in Week 13 against the Houston Texans.

Watson will make his debut for the Cleveland Browns against his former team and will hope to drive the Browns to the playoffs. After Week 7, Cleveland are 2-5 and are heavily missing Watson’s ability. With the franchise in danger of falling out of contention before his return, Watson can only watch from the sidelines.
