Deshaun Watson is one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the league right now. On one hand, the three-time Pro Bowler is one of the better passers the Houston Texans and now the Cleveland Browns have had in their short histories (in the latter's case, since their reactivation in 1999). On the other hand, he was once cited for numerous indecent acts and has also been inconsistent on the field.
The latter point resurfaced on Tuesday when former Brady Quinn, who was drafted 22nd overall by the Browns in 2007 and played for them for the first three years of his career, said on his podcast 'Two Pros and a Cup of Joe':
"Everyone with a medical opinion has cleared Deshaun Watson. The situation is almost similar to a kid getting a $230 million trust fund. You ask them to get a job and they have no incentive to do it."

Watson's personal coach, Quiny Avery, took offense to that statement and ranted on X/Twitter:

Rather than meekly remain silent, Quinn did not back down:
And so began a brutal exchange:
Deshaun Watson injury update for Week 8
In 2022, the Cleveland Browns mortgaged their future by trading for Deshaun Watson and then giving him one of the most shocking contracts the league has ever seen - $230 million over five years, with everything totally guaranteed. However, it came when he was still being investigated for sexual impropriety, and he did not put on their jersey until his Week 13 homecoming against the Houston Texans.
It is now 2023, and the beleaguered quarterback still has not played a full season with Cleveland. After starting the first three games and going 2-1, he missed the next two with a shoulder injury he sustained against the Tennessee Titans, then aggravated it against the Colts and had to be subbed out. However, the Browns went 2-1 again in that stretch with Dorian Thompson-Robinson and then PJ Walker under center.
Now, reports have surfaced that Watson has a strain on his rotator cuff that restricts movement. But when asked whether that would sideline him for Sunday's game at the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Kevin Stefanski said (via Cleveland.com):
"He's our starter moving forward. He's our starter in Seattle. It's always going to be my decision to protect our players."
The Browns-Seahawks game will air on FOX, beginning at 4:05 p.m. ET.
