Head coach Mike McDaniel shared an update on star receiver Tyreek Hill's health ahead of Miami's Week 10 matchup. The Dolphins likely have their season on the line Monday night against the LA Rams and having their best players available is a must.

After suffering a wrist injury, Hill's availability for this game has remained a question mark. The Dolphins want to snap a three-game losing streak against a Rams squad that is trending in the right direction and has won three consecutive games.

Hill's status remains uncertain, with McDaniel revealing that the wide receiver is doing everything in his power to be ready for Monday night.

"He's doing everything possible to play. we will see how he responds. I'm optimistic he's going to do everything he can. But we'll see. I wouldn't say I'm optimistic or pessimistic."

Tyreek Hill injury update: What happened to Dolphins star WR?

After quaterback Tua Tagovailoa returned to the field after multiple absences due to a concussion, Hill is now dealing with an injury that puts his participation for the Rams game in jeopardy.

The week started with no issue for the speedster, but the team's injury report Friday included him with a wrist issue. He was a DNP for Friday's practice session, starting speculation about his availability for this game.

Hill has been the top weapon for the Dolphins this season, catching 34 passes for 446 yards and one touchdown in eight games. Tagovailoa's absence played a role in Hill's poor numbers and the 10 receptions and 152 yards since the former Alabama quarterback returned to action are a testament to that.

The Dolphins boast a 2-6 record entering this matchup and another loss could be the beginning of the end of their playoff aspirations.

If Hill is unable to play Monday night, the Dolphins will have Jaylen Waddle as the WR1 while veteran Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie Malik Washington will be behind him.

The second half of the season could be the turnaround Dolphins fans have been waiting for a while. They are 2.5 games behind the Denver Broncos for the seventh seed in the AFC standings entering this week. Miami started the season with high expectations but after nine weeks of competition, a major injury and the lack of consistency it brought has hurt the team's chances to compete at the highest level. A win on Monday against the Rams could propel the Dolphins to turn their season around, while a loss might be the first step towards a lackluster finish.
