Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel explained his reaction at the postgame presser after the Baltimore Ravens offered a deal to acquire one of their best defenders. McDaniel said he threw an "adult temper tantrum" to try and keep Calais Campbell in Hard Rock Stadium and persuaded the front office not to part ways with the defensive tackle.

Per Dolphins reporter Marcel Louis-Jacques, the team received a trade offer of a fifth-round draft pick for the veteran, but McDaniel wasn't having any of that. He insisted that this situation didn't mean he was at odds with general manager Chris Grier.

Before joining the Dolphins, Campbell played for the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons. He has played 254 games in his career, posting 109.5 sacks, 642 solo tackles and 18 forced fumbles.

Campbell has been selected six times to the Pro Bowl, and he is a one-time All-Pro and the 2019 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award recipient. This season, he's posted 26 solo tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble in 11 games.

The Ravens already have one of the best defensive units in the league, but adding Calais Campbell would have done wonders for the AFC North squad. McDaniel's team is one game away from the .500 mark following a big win over the New England Patriots.

They added seven in the third and three in the fourth, while the Patriots scored 15 points in the final period.

Tua Tagovailoa completed 29 of his 40 pass attempts, racking up 317 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. Jaylen Waddle and Jonnu Smith scored a touchdown each while De'Von Achane found the end zone twice.

Waddle finished the game with eight receptions and 144 receiving yards while Smith caught nine passes for 87 receiving yards. Tyreek Hill caught five passes for 48 yards while De'Von Achane added three receptions and 24 receiving yards.

Mike McDaniel and Miami will try to win their sixth game of the season against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, while the Patriots will return to the field against the Colts next Sunday.
