New reports have emerged about Bill Belichick shopping Mac Jones this offseason, and that has shocked many people. It was also reported that coach Belichick was unhappy when Jones reached out to his former coaches in Alabama after struggling last season.

The Patriots replaced former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels with Matt Patricia and Joe Judge, which did not benefit Jones, who had a great rookie season. As a result, many believe Jones had no other choice because he had no one on the team who could help him.

Former NFL head coach Eric Mangini recently stated that Jones didn't do the right thing, and it was bound to make Belichick angry. Here's what Mangini said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd:

"I didn't love that Mac Jones went outside the building, and that's not what you do. Tom Brady didn't go outside the building with as much success as he had. They got into a little bit of a beef later on in his career because he wanted to bring in his own trainer."
"But this was after, what, six Super Bowls? I don't love Mac Jones’ approach and I get why there might be some resentment on Bill's part... You know, maybe Mac Jones, this was fighting the decision from the beginning, which made it a lot more difficult for the decision to be successful."

Additional information regarding the incident will be released soon, but there is no denying that the scenario in New England may be upsetting to the supporters. There is considerable doubt that Mac Jones will be the New England Patriots' future quarterback, as Bill Belichick may make some radical decisions.

Next season, Bill Belichick will face a lot of pressure, as it may be time for Robert Kraft to step in and make some big decisions himself. It's quite evident that Belichick isn't the same coach without Tom Brady, and whether the Patriots can continue to rely on him remains to be seen.

The Patriots have also been linked with a move for Lamar Jackson, so it will be interesting to see what moves Bill Belichick makes to further solidify his legacy in the NFL.
