Aaron Rodgers likely to leave Packers claims former Patriots linebacker

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has returned from his 'darkness retreat' and is anticipated to make a decision about his future soon.

Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst recently spoke publicly about the quarterback situation in Green Bay and hasn't ruled out a departure for Rodgers.

Following Gutekunst's comments, former New England Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich believes that the franchise is done with Rodgers and an exit is inevitable.

Here's what Rob Ninkovich said on "Get Up" about Rodgers' situation:

"Aaron Rodgers will not be a Green Bay Packer this season coming up and I say that because from an outsider of this whole situation, I'm sick and tired of Aaron Rodgers and the whole process so imagine being the team.
"If you're inside that organization if you are a GM if you are trying to make decisions here for free agency for the draft, you are sick and tired of being sick and tired about wondering if Rodgers is gonna be there come OTAs come mini camp come the offseason.
"So with that being said that interview was loud and clear. It could have been a simple yes, he's our quarterback but no that's not the answer. They're sick and tired of it they're they're over it like most of us, so I feel like they're gonna move on."

Every year, there has been concern about Rodgers' future with the Green Bay Packers, which culminated in the team missing the playoffs last season.

The four-time NFL MVP did not attend OTAs and did not develop chemistry with rookie receivers. This was evident on the field, giving the Packers a rough start from which they were unable to recover.

The franchise believes Jordan Love is ready to take over as the starting quarterback. The sooner Aaron Rodgers makes his decision, the better for everyone concerned.

New York Jets are still frontrunners to land Aaron Rodgers

The New York Jets are still regarded as the frontrunners to sign Rodgers because the Las Vegas Raiders are looking for a younger quarterback. Also, the situation in New York would be perfect for Rodgers to thrive.

The Jets have one of the best defenses in the league, as well as several young talented offensive players. They would undoubtedly enhance their game under a great quarterback like Rodgers.

What happens in Green Bay remains to be seen, but Rodgers will not spend much time before making a decision regarding his NFL future.
