The Pittsburgh Steelers have been the talk of the town this offseason because of their interest in Aaron Rodgers. They made an offer to the 4x NFL MVP and had to wait for several weeks for an official response from him. After the long wait, Rodgers decided to join the Steelers for the 2025 season.
However, NFL analyst Chris Broussard does not have faith that Aaron Rodgers' addition would help the Steelers achieve success this upcoming season.
On Saturday's episode of 'First Things First,' the analyst predicted that Mike Tomlin will have his first losing campaign in 2025. Broussard then explained the reasoning behind his prediction.

"This is going to be the 1st losing season of Mike Tomlin's career," Broussard said. "I'm going to give them some benefit of the doubt. Now, I'm not saying they will definitely, but let's say they start 3-0. That's a big if.

"Because I'm going to say- let's say they split the divisions. So going 3-3 in the AFC North, because they do play the Ravens and the Bengals tough. So even if I give them that, though, I'v still got three division losses ... So even if I say they start 3-0., go .500 in the divison, they're still 8-9.... I just think it's going to be failure."
"He (Aaron Rodgers) hasn't made the playoff since 2021. His last three seasons- or really two, since he got hurt with the Jets in his first year- he's 13-21." (Timestamp- 2:30)
Mike Tomlin and the Steelers have not made a Super Bowl appearance since 2010. That was when Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to victory against them in Super Bowl XLV. Now, he is expected to have the same kind of impact this year with the team he defeated to lift his first and only Lombardi trophy.
James Jones predicts Aaron Rodgers' impact on the Steelers' playoff chances
James Jones has been a vocal supporter of his ex-teammate Rodgers. On Friday, he shared his thoughts on how the quarterback's presence will impact the Steelers' playoff chances this upcoming season.
According to Jones, the 4x NFL MVP still has a lot left in his tank. He believes that Rodgers will strengthen the team's offense and potentially lead them to Super Bowl contention.
"Well they're a playoff team now," Jones said on FS1's 'The Facility'. "Once you get to the playoffs, anything can happen..... Coach Tomlin should have a smile on his face this morning because now your team has a chance to compete."
"A couple of days ago, your team did not have a chance to compete, but Aaron Rodgers walking into that building, instantly you're a playoff team....... I believe Aaron Rodgers still has a lot of good football left in him. (Timestamp- 0:20)
