“He’s beyond Brett Favre” - Skip Bayless claims Aaron Rodgers has eclipsed former mentor in offseason toxicity

Aaron Rodgers is keeping millions waiting on his decision once again. Over the last few years, the No. 12 has entered each offseason with doubts about his future with the Packers. However, his rumored pseudo-interest in the New York Jets is about as close as he's come to making good on his de facto threats to move on.

Speaking on Undisputed, NFL analyst Skip Bayless claimed that the offseason hooplah has reached a point where the No. 12 has passed Brett Favre's offseason antics from back in the day.

Here's how he put it:

"He's putting himself on a hotter and hotter seat because the more they do to make good on his wish list the harder it's going to be for him to say no because he's going to look like the all-time bad guy."

He continued, bringing up the Covid controversy:

"He looked bad enough through the controversy that he lied about his vaccination and all the things that he's done in Green Bay, going Brett Farve every offseason, he's like beyond Brett Farve. I think he has eclipsed Brett Farve in being a bad offseason guy."

Back during the height of the pandemic, many saw the rollout of vaccines as the light at the end of the tunnel, while some believed it was the firey pit at the end of the conveyor belt.

Rodgers appeared to think it was the latter of the two, as he attempted to beat the NFL's strict moves to force players to vaccinate.

Of course, the league didn't exactly put a gun to their head, but through various policies and measures, the league set up a dichotomy where the vaccinated could go back to normal life. Meanwhile, the unvaccinated were forced to isolate and social distance themselves most of the time.

In an effort to beat the system, Rodgers claimed he was "immunized" against the sickness but was in fact never vaccinated, duping the media and hordes of others. Now, the quarterback once again has the media locked in on his every breath. Will No. 12 cash in on the attention or continue to watch the clock tick?
