“He looks weak” - Skip Bayless calls for Lamar Jackson to stop shouting at shadows

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is disgruntled with his current situation in the franchise. After not being able to hammer out a long-term extension, the Ravens were forced to use the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson, which made him even angrier.

Jackson was so livid that earlier this week, he tweeted that he had requested a trade from the team on Monday. He then subtweeted those who hinted at him sitting out games last season due to wanting more money in the future.

On Undisputed, talk-show host Skip Bayless said that every time Lamar goes to tweet about his situation, it makes him look worse.

"Every time Lamar goes on Twitter. He looks worse to me because he looks weak and he looks vulnerable and he looks like he's flailing and fighting back at whom. at what? Okay, so he doesn't want to hear what I have to say. And I don't blame him. But I have no choice because it's what we do." [4:57 onwards]

Bayless added that responding to critics on Twitter makes you look worse and is detrimental.

"And that's about what it's worth of advice for him as number one. To your point, you shouldn't have gone on Twitter in the first place because you'll lose on Twitter. You cannot win that battle. I've told you this before. I've worked with several people in this media business whose careers were wrecked, ruined because they could not stop reading what people were saying about them on Twitter during the commercial breaks.
"And if you start taking it to heart, if you let that define you. You will lose because it's not who you are and you're going to try to fight back on air in ways that are unbecoming of you. And you're fighting against who? Who, who, who. Who are these people? You have no idea who these people are."

Is there a chance Lamar Jackson sits out for the 2023 season?

There is a strong chance that Lamar Jackson sits out the entire 2023 season.

Jackson is not happy about being franchise tagged, and could be forced to sit out the year, much like Le'Veon Bell did with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio suggested that Jackson could sit out the entire season if he isn't traded and if the Ravens don't give him a long-term deal. It wouldn't be the biggest surprise as Jackson is unhappy and wants out of Balitmore.

Do you think there's a chance that Lamar Jackson will sit out the entire 2023-2024 season?
