Donald Trump reportedly plans to attend the Pittsburgh Steelers versus New York Jets game on Sunday. The AFC teams will clash in Week 7's Sunday Night Football in the potential Davante Adams' debut with the New Yorkers after being traded from the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday.
Several fans disagreed with this plan and showed their discomfort on social media.
"He’s worse than Taylor swift omg," one fan said.
Somebody mocked Trump after he said he would ignore the NFL after several players protested.
"I thought he was boycotting the NFL, someone is desperate 🤭🤭🤭," one fan wrote.
Others called out the people who wanted to keep politics away from sports.
"All the “keep politics out of sports” peddlers are oddly quiet here. I couldn’t begin to fathom why 🤔," one fan said.
"So the “keep politics out of sports” decided to take a full 180 and target the dumbest people on earth," another fan said.
Another one simply said they won't be tuning in.
The Jets are trying to turn their season around after a 2-4 start. Following a painful loss against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, the front office moved fast and landed Davante Adams to join Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall and Co.
The Steelers are on the other side of the street, boasting a 4-2 record despite Justin Fields' early struggles this campaign. Acrisure Stadium could be the venue of the turning point of the Jets' season or the beginning of the end for Rodgers' hopes to bring a Vince Lombardi Trophy to MetLife Stadium.
Kansas City Chiefs kicked Harrison Butker shows support for Donald Trump
While NFL fans blasted Donald Trump's Sunday plans, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker shared his support for the Republican party presidential candidate.
"I'm supporting the president that's going to be the most pro-life and I think Donald Trump is the most pro-life president. That's the most crucial topic for me. I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn, and that's what we should prioritize," Butker said.
The 2024 Presidential Elections are one month away and everybody's trying to make it to the big day in the best form. The reason behind Trump's reported visit to Steelers stadium is unknown, but it's already making noise.
