Outside of his brilliance on the field, Joe Montana did not have many satisfying romantic relationships when he was in the NFL as a player.

Jennifer Wallace is Montana's current wife. The former NFL quarterback was previously married to Kim Moses and Cass Castillo before he tied the knot with Wallace.

Montana got married for the first time in 1974, while he was still in his second semester at Notre Dame, to Kim Moses, whom he had known since high school. However, the marriage didn't last long. They divorced in 1977, and Montana began dating Cass Castillo.

The storied NFL quarterback was engaged to her in 1981, but the marriage only lasted three years, and they divorced in 1984.

IMBD claims that Montana sent a Dear Jane note at the 49ers' front desk informing Cass that he was divorcing her. It's unknown who she married after Montana or whether she has kids from her subsequent marriage. Nevertheless, neither of Montana's first two marriages produced a child.

Then, while filming an ad for Schick disposable razors, Montana and Wallace crossed paths. After six months of being together, Montana proposed to her while going out for supper.

Montana paid for a plane to transport a sign. He then instructed Wallace to gaze upward. The words "Jen, will you marry me?" caught her eye. They married in 1985 and have four kids together.

As per Reason.com, Montana filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against his first ex-wife, Kim Moses, in 2008.

Moses marketed letters and other items from the time she was married to Montana. Although some felt that the sale violated Montana's confidentiality rights, Moses considered the items her belongings and was free to use them the way she pleased.

Joe Montana, though, deemed that the memorabilia infringed on his privacy and was intended just for her gaze. The case's verdict was kept under wraps.
