Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers returned to winning ways following their 19-16 win in overtime over the Arizona Cardinals.

They are now 7-8 for the season and have an opportunity to win the NFC South this week if they defeat the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have already defeated the Bucs earlier this season and Brady knows it will be a tough game for them.

Here's what Brady said about the upcoming matchup against the Carolina Panthers on his Let's Go Podcast:

“They traded away some of their better players and they fired their coach. And this is a resilient team... So it's a big game, They're a good football team and they're descending football team."

Brady continued:

"So you know if there's not a sense of urgency for this game, and let's what it's got to be this is a championship game and I don't give a sh*t what the records are. We're out there to go out there and play our best."

He added:

"To beat a team that's a division rival that got the best of us last time and we got to go out there and score more than three points or else we're not going to win. We got to go out and play as well as we possibly can against a team that's got a really good D line."

Brady knows it will be a tough game, and also talked about the playmakers on the Carolina Panthers team:

"They're very athletic at linebacker they playmakers in the secondary, and it's going to be a big challenge for us. And I've always thought Jim, if you're going to have a losing record, you've at least got to make the playoffs."

The Panthers will be missing the services of star cornerback Jaycee Horn in their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and that could make a huge difference.

Steve Wilks' team has played inspiring football this season, and if they are able to take down Brady and the Bucs in Week 17, it could take them a long way.

Never count out Tom Brady

With what we've seen from Tom Brady throughout his career, we should never count him out. Despite a difficult season, the Bucs have frequently won games while trailing in the fourth quarter.

As a result, we can never consider them a bad team. They are very likely to win the NFC South and advance to the playoffs, where they can cause serious problems.

The Dallas Cowboys might be the team that they will face in the NFC Wildcard Game, and Brady will have a great opportunity to show why he is the greatest player in the history of the NFL.

But first, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers must defeat the Panthers this week in order to secure a playoff spot.
