Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton fired back at influencers Kai Cenat and Druski for mocking his outfit at Monday's BET Awards. Newton, a former NFL MVP, arrived at the event in Los Angeles donning a sleeveless floral vest, matching pants, a green scarf, a brown cowboy hat, and glasses. However, the ex-Carolina Panthers star was mocked by Druski, who said his outfit looked like a 'tablecloth,' drawing laughter from Kai Centa, who sat beside him.
On Saturday, Newton responded to Druski and Kai Cenat's dig in his usual, flamboyant style.
"When it comes down to this, you know, bold brashness, hey bro, I'm every Black man's dream," Newton said on his "4th&1" podcast (5:18). "Why? It's because I represent the real ones. I don't want to tuck my tail, or cower, or shake, or just nothing.

"Because Cam gonna be Cam. Every platform you done seen me on — whether the NFL, whether ESPN, whether BET — I'm going to be M.E. Man, come on, dawg. But that's cool, y'all can giggle, y'all can snicker, look at him. Okay, cool, but them guns is out."

Cam Newton opens up on struggles for young QBs in the NFL

In an episode of his "4th&1" podcast on Saturday, Cam Newton discussed the reason why young quarterbacks find it challenging to adapt to the NFL.
“It’s nobody’s job to teach you nothing," Newton said. "It’s your job to make sure that you learn at your own rate. I had 20+ years of taking notes, jotting down things. I did it! You can’t skip the line.
"You can’t take the elevator to success. You just can’t go to Dr. Miami and just get Super Bowl rings. This is not an automatic car, ladies and gentlemen, this is a manual. You HAVE to do the work. Anything and everything that is great, or has ever been great, leaves crumbs.”
Cam Newton went to the Carolina Panthers with the top pick in the 2011 NFL draft. He hit the ground running with the Panthers and won the Rookie of the Year award.
Newton played 11 seasons in the big league. He spent 10 years with the Panthers and one with the New England Patriots.
