Aaron Rodgers confirmed on the Pat McAfee show that he is done with the Green Bay Packers. The four-time NFL League MVP winner, who once claimed he wanted to be a Packer for life, now might put on a different hue of green next season.

While Rodgers' next destination is still unknown, the exit comes as no surprise. Rodgers has been flirting with the idea of a move away from Lambeau Field for a while now. While appearing on the show, he confirmed that the Packers front office had reached out to him after his darkness retreat.

The QB said that he was informed about the team's decision to move on from him in 2023 and declared his decision to join the Jets:

"Since Friday I made it clear my intention was to play and my intention was to play for the New York Jets and I haven't been holding anything up. It's the compensation that the Packers are trying to get (sorted)."

He further explained how he felt the shift in the Packers' decision-making after emerging from his darkness retreat:

"When I came out of the darkness, something changed... When I got back to that little shack where there's one bar of wifi, I realized there'd been a little bit of a shift. ... I realized there was some shopping going on."

The four-time NFL MVP further went on to say:

"I've already made my decision.. this is just clearing things up for everybody that's interested."

Rodgers seems to have his heart set on playing for the Jets next season. Under HC Robert Saleh, the QB will get the chance to prove his haters wrong. Only two QBs in NFL history have started and won a Super Bowl with two different franchises.

These two are none other than Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. This is the ideal opportunity for the QB to etch his name in the history books.

Before the start of last season, there was talk of the QB potentially joining the Denver Broncos before the Russell Wilson deal went through.
