Russell Wilson has been one of the most accomplished quarterbacks of the early 21st century. He also happens to be one of the league's kindest figures.
He and his wife, Ciara, are noted for vowing celibacy until they married and have since been blessed with three children (he also has a stepson from her abortive engagement to rapper Future). They have been active philanthropists, donating to and partnering with charities. They have co-written a children's book aimed at inspiring children to pursue their dreams.
And on Tuesday, Wilson pushed his pro-children agenda even further, visiting some patients at the UPMC Children's Hospital within the University of Pittsburgh campus:
Will Russell Wilson expand his family? Wife Ciara says she "needs a little time"
Almost a year ago, Russell Wilson welcomed his third child and second daughter, Amora. But it seems as if he wants more, as his wife Ciara has told at least once in the past.
Speaking to People magazine at the Baby2Baby Gala earlier this month, she expressed willingness to have a fourth child with the quarterback (and fifth in her life), but only with the right planning and timing:
"Oh, my gosh, it is turned up. I have a kid on every corner. Oh, my Lord, pray for me sometimes. Russ keeps walking around going like this, like, 'Cinco.' And I'm like, 'High five, I love you, too.' I mean, listen, I think we'll make it to five, but this mom needs a little time. Just a little bit."
Much more recently, offensive coordinator Arthur Smith jokingly revealed that he needed to face his wife Allison in between team meetings to confirm his location:
"We spend so many hours (together) that sometimes my wife FaceTimes me to make sure I'm not somewhere on the South Side. 'I'm really in my office. There's Russ!' We're here on Friday nights talking through those situational things."
Wilson corroborated that story:
"Yeah, C's like, 'Hey, how much longer?' Ciara and Allison know how much we love this game. ...For us, we always say to them, 'You guys like touchdowns, right? We're just trying to find the next touchdown.'"
