Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is settling into his second season as the team's starter. After finishing the season 9-8 last year and making the playoffs, Love has enjoyed getting off to a 4-2 record as a starter for the team this season.

Love so far has thrown for 15 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and 1,547 yards while completing 61.7 percent of passes.

He suffered an MCL sprain in the team's season-opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. This caused him to miss two games with Malik Willis going 2-0 as the team's starter.

During the second half of the Packers' Sunday game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Love left the game as he injured his groin.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love missed part of Sunday's game, as backup quarterback Malik Willis finished the game when the starter left with a groin injury.

To begin the week, Love was sidelined for the team's Wednesday practice. After missing Wednesday's practice, he practiced on Thursday as a limited participant.

After missing Wednesday's practice, Love said that he felt better and much better than he did on Sunday.

Love said:

"Definitely I'm feeling better. I think every day there will be some improvements to it. But definitely it feels better than it did on Sunday."

This is a positive sign for his status ahead of Sunday's big game against the Detroit Lions.

UPDATE: NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday that Jordan Love is expected to play against the Lions on Sunday.

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are hopeful he will be active this Sunday. The Packers host their division rival, the Detroit Lions, in an NFC North battle.

On paper, this is the best game of Week 9. The Lions carry a 6-1 record into the game while the Packers carry a 6-2 record.

The Packers will enjoy home-field advantage as Sunday's game will be played at 4:25 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field. Despite being home, the Packers aren't favorites. The high-powered Lions come in as 3.5-point favorites. They come in as a -145 moneyline favorite while Green Bay has +125 odds as an underdog.
