The New England Patriots will enter this season under quarterback Mac Jones' third season. There's been some chatter this offseason about the team potentially moving on from the third-year quarterback.

While Jones is their quarterback right now and is set to start this year, analyst and radio host Colin Cowherd blasted coach Bill Belichick for not being able to draft offensive talent in recent years.

"They're not good at offense," Cowherd said. "They can't draft offense. I looked at a list this morning of the last receivers that New England has drafted. ... the Patriots' wide receiver draft picks since 2010. I won't read all of them for our radio audience. It's unbelievable how bad they are. There's not a star in the mix. There's almost not a player in the mix.
"They can't draft offense. The last offensive player they drafted (who) was a Pro Bowler, I think, was Gronk (Robert Gronkowski, 2010). He's now retired.

"They put a DC (defensive coordinator) at OC (offensive coordinator). The top offensive coordinators, are they even interested in the job there? Like, they've got a hole in the organization. They don't know offense. They don't have touch for it, a feel for it, a sensibility for it. And when Brady left and Josh McDaniel left, it got really bad, really fast."

In the last 10 years, Bill Belichick's best offensive players that he's drafted include Rhamondre Stevenson, Joe Thuney and Jimmy Garoppolo.

While it may be true that the New England Patriots have struggled drafting offensive talent, they've certainly added some this offseason.

In the offseason, Bill Belichick and company have signed WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, RB James Robinson and TE Mike Gesicki.

In the past, they've been able to acquire offensive talent such as WR Randy Moss, WR Danny Amendola, RB LeGarrette Blount, RB Dion Lewis and many others via free agency and trades.

WIll the offseason additions that Belichick and the Patriots have added be enough for Mac Jones and the team to make it into the playoffs in 2023?
