Jaire Alexander and the Green Bay Packers are taking on the Minnesota Vikings and are locked in a tight division battle. But as always, there are small battles within a game that take center stage. One such battle is between Jaire Alexander and Justin Jefferson.

After some trash talk midweek with Alexander saying Jefferson's spectacular performance was a "fluke," it appears the Packers star has set himself up for a big game. He is off to a good start.

Who are the current Super Bowl favorites?

After a pass in Jefferson's direction, the defender broke up the play and then had the nerve to do the griddy while next to Jefferson.

What was even better for Packers fans was the next play after the corner hit Jefferson with his signature celebration, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins threw a pick-six as tensions at Lambeau Field grew.

Many NFL fans have noticed that during the play in which the corner was on Jefferson, he was rather close to him the entire time, not wanting the receiver to get any separation at all.

NFL fans believe Jaire Alexander should have gotten a taunting penalty

With the NFL a stickler for rules, particularly regarding taunting, what the Packers corner did was clear evidence of taunting. NFL fans were quick to post their feelings about the incident on social media.

It is clear that just about every NFL fan thinks that the Packers corner should have been flagged for defensive pass interference and/or taunting.

Now, we have seen a lot fewer calls during the NFL season, and that has left many wondering why the officials did not throw a flag on the play. Either way, with the star corner doing the griddy so early in the first quarter, Jefferson has plenty of time to get retribution, which might not be the smartest move.

Nevertheless, most NFL fanbases aside from Minnesota absolutely loved it.
