Jason Kelce and Tom Brady will be starting afresh this season. Both have hung up their cleats and have picked up the microphone to work for ESPN and Fox, respectively. However, the legends of the game will be treated differently for their upcoming gigs, and Kelce has opened up on it.

Last week, it was revealed that the NFL had a meeting and decided to put restrictions on Brady’s upcoming job with Fox Sports. These restrictions are due to Brady’s interest in becoming a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders franchise. The seven-time Super Bowl winner is yet to comment on this development, but Kelce shared his viewpoint.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center spoke about the restrictions on his podcast "New Heights" on Wednesday. Many fans were wondering whether Kelce will also be facing some limitations for his upcoming job with ESPN.

“I don't know what the rule is for me. I'm not accepting any money from the Eagles. Like, I don't have an official position. I'm really just going there out of pure interest on my own, to keep my knowledge base of the game up, and obviously, I've built up a lot of relationships with the people around that building that. I'm going to help out in any way I can. But the reality is that's not my job.” [Timestamp — 53:10]

Kelce pointed out to the fans that, unlike Brady, he doesn’t have a relationship with any NFL franchise.

Jason Kelce shares his nervousness about the new job

The seven-time Pro Bowler spent 13 seasons on the field; however, that hasn't stopped him from being nervous about his new job. Last month, Kelce highlighted his concerns on the "Green Light" podcast.

"I guess I’m fearful that I’m not going to be prepared. Because I feel like there’s a lot more autonomy," he said.

Kelce will start his new job on Sept. 9, while Brady will begin his broadcasting career on Sept. 8.
