Julian Edelman pleads Peyton Manning for hilarious Tom Brady favor

It appears that Tom Brady is a hard man to get a hold of, even for former teammate Julian Edelman. Having spent the majority of their careers together with the New England Patriots, one would think they are easily able to talk to each other.

Well, apparently, even for Edelman, getting Brady to do something as easy as appearing on his podcast is hard. With Brady now retired, one would think getting the 45-year-old on as a guest is simple. But it's not.

Who will win the Super Bowl?

Such is Edelman's desire to get his former teammate on his podcast, "Games with Names," he is seeking the help of Peyton Manning to put in a good word for him.

"Can you put in a word to Tom to get him to come on my own god damn podcast?" Edelman said. "Because I know you guys talk."

CAUTION: COARSE LANGUAGE USED.

Manning replied:

"I'll try. I mean, it's a big ask, you know. It needs to be more than just kind of a simple text, Julian. I think you got to maybe send him something."

So, even though the seven-time Super Bowl champion is now retired, it appears that he is still as hard to get ahold of as ever, even for his former teammate. We imagine that it wouldn't take much convincing for Brady to make an appearance on Edelman's podcast. ... He just has to get in contact with him first.

With his NFL career now over, what is the 45-year-old's next move? He does have a lucrative Fox Sports deal waiting for him as he transitions into the commentary booth.

But that isn't slated to start until 2024. So, what will he do until then? One avenue is spending a year with his children and catching up on all the things that he missed while playing football.

The other could be to be a guest on Edelman's podcast. It wouldn't take much out of his day, but Brady has a lot of irons in the fire off the field.

Either way, we hope that the former Patriots pair can finally reunite on Edelman's podcast, whenever that may be.
