On Monday, the Green Bay Packers released Jaire Alexander, after he played seven seasons with the franchise. The cornerback is now one of the best free agents available heading into the 2025 season.

With several teams reportedly linked to Alexander, NFL commentator Kay Adams has suggested that the CB could join the Packers' NFC North rivals, the Minnesota Vikings. Adams thinks that the Vikings, valued at $5.05 billion by Forbes, is the perfect landing spot for Alexander for a few reasons.

"My vote for landing spot, for one, Jaire Alexander, would be the Vikings," Adams said on her 'Up & Adams' show on Tuesday. "Of course, we can do the funniest thing ever, here. Join forces with those you like, drawing against those you have. I don't know if this is bad blood or just two competitors who play at the best at their position, enjoying each other's company, between the hash marks here.

"Go to the Vikings, so much has gone on between him and Minnesota over the years. They need a corner. I talked to Kevin O'Connell about that being maybe the only thing I don't love right now. As far as keeping them from winning a Super Bowl, he gets a chance to play the Packers twice a year. I would love Jaire to stay in that division... You just got to join forces with Justin Jefferson and see how that goes."

Adams has been bullish on the Vikings for next season. Last month, she had picked them as early favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2026.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Vikings will consider making a move for Alexander to bolster their defense.

Jaire Alexander played just 14 regular-season games in the past two years with the Packers

The Packers released Jaire Alexander due to a combination of factors, including financial reasons and issues with his availability.

Alexander played just 14 regular-season games for Green Bay in the past two seasons due to injuries. The Packers also offered to restructure the player's four-year, $84 million contract in 2022, which did not come to fruition.

The Packers will reportedly save over $17 million in salary cap space with Alexander's release.

Across seven years in Green Bay, Alexander tallied 287 total tackles, 70 passes defended, 12 interceptions, 12 tackles for a loss, four fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and 1.5 sacks in 78 regular-season games.
