Lamar Jackson sent out shockwaves around the NFL on Monday, March 27, when he sent out a letter on Twitter stating that he wants to be traded out of Baltimore Ravens.

He started out the letter by thanking his fans for their support throughout and then revealed that he had informed the Ravens to trade him on March 2. He added that the Ravens didn't meet his value and revealed his aspirations of winning a Super Bowl.

He concluded by saying that this business decision was the best for his family and that the fans will stay close to his heart, regardless of where he plays next.

This comes weeks after, in fact, years of negotiating with the Ravens for a long-term deal but failing to agree on a contract.

On March 7, the Baltimore Ravens placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on Lamar Jackson. Immediately, various teams came out in public and announced that they will not be looking to sign the 2019 NFL MVP. This sparked rumors of collusion among NFL teams.

On Tuesday evening, while interacting with the fans on Twitter, he sent out a warning to the teams that showed disinterest in him and had a crystal clear message.

I can’t wait to see you all 😉

Where will Lamar Jackson play in 2023?

The Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens saga doesn't quite end here. Jackson has to find a team that is willing to give him the guaranteed deal that he is requesting. Although the Ravens have informed that they would like to welcome the 2019 NFL MVP back and work it out, it looks like his days in Baltimore are over.

With that said, there have been a few rumors and interest for the 2016 Heisman Trophy Winner. The first team that could swing big for Lamar Jackson is the New England Patriots. The Patriots haven't been the same since Tom Brady left in 2020. Their offense has been horrible. Mac Jones, who was drafted to fill Tom Brady's shoes, hasn't quite lived up to expectations. Signing Lamar would be a great addition and would bring back the old glory days for the Patriots.

Another team that has been linked to the 2019 NFL MVP is the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts have the fourth pick in the 2023 NFL draft. With the Panthers trading up to get the first pick, it'd be hard for the Colts to draft Bryce Young or C. J. Stroud. Chairman Jim Irsay has been wanting to make a splash and signing Lamar would be a great fit. With good pieces around Lamar, the Colts can definitely be the contenders to come out of the AFC division.

One final place where we can see Lamar Jackson head to will be Atlanta. The Falcons would be the perfect fit for Lamar for various reasons. Lamar Jackson in the Falcons team makes a lot of sense.

Marcus Mariotta and Desmond Ridder were both productive last year in that scheme and Lamar's addition would be a huge boost. The Falcons have the eighth pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Since the chances of drafting a QB are slim, going for Lamar would be the right move, with the cap space that they have.
