Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence took part in the mandatory training camp session on Tuesday. The signal-caller was spotted wearing a sleeve on his throwing arm, with some believing that Lawrence was dealing with an injury.

However, Jaguars coach Liam Coen played down the rumors of any injury for Lawrence and said that the QB "feels good," despite some "general soreness" in his right arm.

Coen suggested that Lawrence's soreness was because of the amount of throwing he did at the voluntary OTAs last week.

Lawrence's 2024 season ended in Week 13 after a brutal hit from Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair caused a concussion. He previously injured his shoulder in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles, which forced him to miss two games.

Lawrence then underwent surgery on his left shoulder to repair an AC joint sprain in December.

However, Lawrence appears to have recovered well. He was throwing at the OTAs and took part in the mandatory minicamp session on Tuesday.

The Jaguars will have two more days of their mandatory minicamp on Wednesday and Thursday, before the summer break. It will be interesting to see if Lawrence can practice without a sleeve on his shoulder in the next two days.

After Thursday's Jaguars OTA, Liam Coen praised Trevor Lawrence's development, highlighting his improved footwork.

“I think his footwork has drastically improved,” Coen said. “The drop of a quarterback is very similar to a dance. Each song has a different rhythm, each play has a different rhythm… we’re trying to create black-and-white lines for footwork, for reads, for timing.”

The Jaguars selected Lawrence with the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Over four seasons, he has recorded 13,815 passing yards, 69 touchdowns and 46 interceptions.

Lawrence earned a Pro Bowl honor in the 2022 season. However, he is entering a pivotal fifth season with Jacksonville, which is Coen's first year at the helm.
