Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Malik Nabers all went within the top six picks of the 2024 NFL Draft and were asked about their Madden 24 rating predictions.

As rookies, they are unlikely to have very high ratings as they are yet to prove themselves in the NFL. Even the top players selected at the beginning of the draft rarely hit 80.

New Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels accordingly said he expected to be in the high 70s. His LSU teammate, Malik Nabers, who went to the New York Giants said he expected to be in the 80s, which showed just how confident he is. He maintained his Madden 24 prediction even though he was told how his college quarterback had responded.

Drake Maye, who will have the job of bringing back great quarterback play to the New England Patriots, mirrored the prediction of his compatriot selected just before him and said that he expected a 77.

Tennessee Titans' new offensive tackle, JC Latham, was even more circumspect and said a 73 or 74 rating is what he expects to begin with and is humble about that.

Rome Odunze said he was thinking about being around 75 and promised to work with fellow rookie and 2024 NFL Draft first pick Caleb Williams to bring both of their Madden 24 scores up.

The only one who came close to matching Malik Nabers' confidence was his wide receiver partner in college, Brian Thomas Jr., who predicted a 79 or 80 for himself.

Projecting Madden 24 ratings for Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Malik Nabers

While all the players said that they expected to begin with a lower Madden 24 rating and gradually climb up, it may prove tougher for the players taken at the top of the 2024 NFL Draft. To start with, expect all of them to be around the 75 mark.

For Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye, they are playing for teams that were not good last year and they are expected to be immediate starters.

College quarterbacks have often struggled as rookies coming from college football. Even Patrick Mahomes, the greatest of this generation, sat out his rookie year learning from a veteran. Therefore, they might struggle their get their ratings up by the end of this season.

For Malik Nabers, he might find himself going to a team where there's no certainty at the quarterback position, and the presumptive starter, Daniel Jones, is returning from an injury. He might be hamstrung due to no fault of his.
