This season has been a disaster for Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. Coming off a Super Bowl-winning season, expectations were set high for the Rams, but injuries have completely derailed them this season.

Stafford has played just nine games this season, and it is very likely that he may not play another snap this season due to a concussion injury. His injury gave rise to retirement rumors about him as well.

A clear update regarding his retirement rumors has been given from Stafford's end. On his wife's podcast, Matthew Stafford was asked whether he was retiring, to which the Los Angeles Rams quarterback simply said, "No."

This might result in Sean McVay staying with the Rams. Many believed that the Rams might look to blow it up if Stafford retires, but now that they have their quarterback ready for next season, they are likely to make a push toward contending again.

Although they have no significant draft capital, the Rams can still sign players via free agency or, again, go all-in and trade for a star player that is available on the market.

They are currently 4-10 and have already been eliminated from the playoff race, and as a result, the people in the organization are already looking toward the next season.

With Baker Mayfield as their quarterback, the Rams will be underdogs in next week's game against the Denver Broncos.

Injuries to various key players like Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, Jalen Ramsey, and Aaron Donald all resulted in this awful season for the LA Rams.

They failed to bring back Odell Beckham Jr., and their season crumbled after all their star players went down one by one. They put all their chips on the table last season and went all in to win the Super Bowl, but they are suffering from that process this season.

They still have all their star players under contract next season, and if they manage to remain healthy, they can, once again, become a contender in a weak NFC. With Stafford already stating that he is not retiring, Rams fans should hope for a better season next time around.
