Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, took to Instagram on Nov. 6 to post a heartfelt message for the victims of the fire tragedy in Los Angeles.

She wrote:

“A lot of fires active in LA right now with very, very high winds. Praying for the safety of all of those who are fighting these fires.”

Kelly was referring to an out-of-control wildfire caused by heavy winds that destroyed dozens of homes in the northwest community of LA. Evacuation orders have been given for more than 10,000 people around Camarillo, Ventura County, by California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The wildfire may affect over 3,500 structures in suburban areas, ranches and agricultural regions. It has already impacted over 10,000 acres of land, turning many homes into ruins.

The fire still continues at 0% containment as of Thursday morning, despite hundreds of firefighters being deployed along with helicopters for assistance.

The Santa Ana dry winds are the cause of this wildfire. These winds generally rip through Southern California at this time of year. However, this time, they got in contact with low humidity and parched grasses, setting the stage for a disaster.

Such wildfires aren’t uncommon, as a similar incident occurred in 2018, which also threatened to impact NFL games.

Last time around, ESPN joined hands with the LA Rams to honor firefighters and support wildfire relief during their MNF game against the Chiefs. The game, played at LA Memorial Coliseum, included a tribute to the firefighters during the pre-kick events and mid-break.

We may see something similar this time too if the wildfires continue. Hopefully, the firefighters will keep the damage under check.

Kelly Stafford tries unusual method to marry Matthew Stafford

Kelly Stafford is the co-host of the podcast "The Morning After" with reporter Hank Winchester. She met Matthew Stafford at UGA, where they were in an on-off relationship before Kelly tried something different.

As revealed on the "Vine" podcast, she briefly dated Matthew’s backup QB, Joe Cox, to make him jealous.

“I hated him. I loved him. I dated the backup to piss him off,” she admitted.

The trick worked wonderfully, as Matthew and Kelly got married in 2015, though she later apologized to Joe Cox’s family. The couple now has four adorable daughters: Tyler, 4; Hunter, 6; and twins Sawyer and Chandler, 7.
