Patrick Mahomes was once again phenomenal for the Kansas City Chiefs in their win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. Mahomes led the Chiefs to a game-winning drive with less than two minutes on the clock and connected with Travis Kelce for the game-winning touchdown.

It was the third touchdown of the game for Kelce, who didn't let the Chiefs misfire without Mecole Hardman and Juju Smith-Schuster, who were out due to injury. Mahomes once again showed the entire world why is one of the most clutch players in the game.

Nobody seemed worried about the Chiefs after the Chargers went ahead late in the fourth quarter. There was almost an air of inevitability about Mahomes on the ball and he sure delivered.

Chris Broussard even compared the Chiefs quarterback to Michael Jordan for showing similar clutch-genes. Here's what he said on First Things First:

"What did the Chiefs prove? They proved one thing and one thing only that they have far and away the best quarterback in football. Well, then shame on all those who ranked Joe Burrow and Josh Allen, who I didn't pick winning the MVP."

Broussard added:

"And Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers ahead of Patrick Mahomes entering this season. That's what they proved. It is never over with this guy."

He continued:

"When it was a minute 46 left, and I'm picking the team against Mahomes? I'm never comfortable. It's like I felt when Michael Jordan was with the Bulls in his prime. And they're down big late in the game. I felt like you know what, he's going to come back."

With the win over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Kansas City Chiefs have almost secured the AFC West. Many doubted them ahead of this season due to the loss of Tyreek Hill, yet Patrick Mahomes has come up big throughout the season.

The Chiefs are now 8-2 and are the top seed in the AFC. They will face an injury-ridden Los Angeles Rams team up next and are expected to come away with another victory.

With the way things are going, nobody can stop Patrick Mahomes from winning the second MVP award of his career. The Chiefs quarterback is playing out of his mind and has exceeded every expectation that was set for him prior to this season.

Even without Tyreek Hill, Mahomes has been able to elevate his game to the next level and is arguably playing the best football of his career. Mahomes has thrown for 3,265 yards, 28 touchdowns and seven interceptions throughout 10 games this season.

The numbers are there and his team is currently the best team in the NFL. As such, it will be hard for anyone to overtake him in the MVP race now.
