Joe Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals to a massive 27-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13. This was the third successive game where Burrow got the better of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes, who has a winning record against almost everyone, hasn't defeated Joe Burrow yet in his career. After the win against the Chiefs, the Bengals improved to 8-4 and have a great shot at winning the AFC North.

Nick Wright, a prominent Kansas City Chiefs fan, praised the Bengals after their win against the Chiefs on Sunday. Here's what he said on First Things First:

"The Chiefs, now finally have a rival. Oh, right. And it has been have they far along? No, I didn't know. But they haven't had a rival. They were going to have a rival with Brady and the Patriots. But then he left."

Wright added:

"They now have a rival a team that can look them in the eye and say, We're not afraid of you. We've beaten you. And in fact, you haven't beaten us now. They've all been close games. Know Cincinnati is nobody else but knows and believes in the biggest spots they can beat Kansas City."

He continued:

"Cincinnati should know and should believe that this was a big game for Kansas City and Cincinnati wants so the Chiefs finally have a rival and Joe burrow has asserted himself as the second best quarterback in football."

Joe Burrow has proven on multiple occasions that he deserves to be in the top tier category of NFL quarterbacks. With another win over Patrick Mahomes, he is now an MVP candidate as well.

The Cincinnati Bengals are up against the Cleveland Browns, and so far in his career, Burrow hasn't been able to beat them. It will be interesting to see how he fares against them.

Joe Burrow is proving last season's run was no fluke

Many thought the Bengals had a fluke run to the Super Bowl last season, and they won't be able to sustain that this season. However, all of that has been proven wrong by the Bengals and Burrow.

They are here to stay, and we saw how they handled the Chiefs. They will be a tough team to play against in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson got hurt, and this has opened the window for the Bengals to go on a run and defend their division title.

The Baltimore Ravens will face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 18, and that game will be huge for the playoffs.
