NFL fans call out Tyreek Hill for Dolphins WR's wrestling TD celebration on MNF - "Not a very intelligent person"

Tyreek Hill has had an uneven season as the entire Dolphins organization has struggled in 2024. After getting a touchdown and a 130-yard game against the Jaguars in Week 1, it has been downhill since. The speedy wide receiver had not seen the endzone since then and had not reached three figures in yardage.

Coming into the game against the Rams, the Dolphins were in dire straits. After the Patriots win against the Bears, the 2-6 Miami team was bottom of the AFC East. It was a far cry from their form last year when they were battling for the divisional title until the last week of 2023.

They needed a big performance and were counting on Tyreek Hill to rediscover his form. While the Dolphins offense was still stuttering, the wide receiver did manage to pick up a touchdown to break his drought. It was especially notable because he was questionable for this game with a wrist injury.

Perhaps the relief of being cleared to play, followed by a long-awaited touchdown, made Tyreek Hill forget about his past struggles. He broke out a celebration with his teammates that imitated a wrestling move as he threw himself backward to the turf. It was followed by some vigorous high-fives.

Tyreek Hill blames "arrest" for aggravating wrist injury

The wide receiver was facing a wrist issue coming into this game and said that his detention earlier in the season by the police caused it to become aggravated. As per Lisa Salters on the broadcast, it was an issue that was already present during training camp but his brush with law enforcement made it worse. One would not know that, though, viewing his touchdown celebration on MNF against the Rams.
