Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow dominated NFL headlines coming into the Week 2 clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals. However, it was Bengals' cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt who came up with arguably the highlight of the match, and probably of the day. In the second half of their game, he came up with a sensational interception of a throw by the Kansas City quarterback.
Anyone who knows the NFL also knows that Patrick Mahomes can throw some dimes and it looked like that when he threw the ball to Xavier Worthy. The wide receiver, one of the fastest players in the league, had a march on Cam Taylor-Britt. It looked like the football would sail over the defender and lead to a touchdown. Instead, it was the cornerback who came down with it.
Running away from where the ball was coming from, he turned his body just in time and stuck up his right hand. He made a one-handed catch and landed with the ball. It was a stunning effort and even his teammates on that side of the pitch could not believe it on the sideline.

And neither could fans, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise the fantastic grab. Some declared it as the best interception they have ever seen. Here are some of the reactions.
Some blamed Patrick Mahomes for underthrowing and others said Xavier Worthy should have done better. But most people appreciated Cam Taylor-Britt's effort, with posters comparing it with Odell Beckham Jr's iconic catch for the New York Giants, but this time on defense.
"this was not on Mahomes the WR made no effort to get to the ball... great throw pat."
"That was amazing! Patrick building a backery shop with all those turnovers"
"OBJ-esque but on defense"

Ultimately, even though the interception will make the highlight reel, it was in a losing cause. The Chiefs won 26-25 after trailing for most of the game. There were two turning points in the game. One was a fumble by Joe Burrow that was picked up and returned for a touchdown.
But on a fourth-and-16, trailing 25-24, Kansas City got a huge call when a defensive pass interference was called during the two-minute warning. It led them into the field goal range and Harrison Butker converted on a walk-off field goal to secure victory by one point.
