Kirk Cousins hit a major milestone today: he turned 36 years of age. And the Atlanta Falcons decided to commemorate it by sharing his birthday practice playlist on social media.

Surprisingly enough, for a person who is currently based in a predominantly African-American city and plays a predominantly African-American sport, he prefers songs by Caucasian-fronted alternative rock bands instead of hip-hop tracks:

Fans certainly took notice, and began their hilarity:

"Kirk watched @fusetv," another deduced, referring to the old music channel.

One fan wasn't too surprised with what Kirk Cousins' playlist looked like, although another fan thought Cousins was more a fan of another music genre.

"This is exactly what I expected his playlist to look like," one said.
"This is so suburban millennial," another sighed.
"I deada** thought Kirk Cousins was a country boy, not a scene kid," a fan said.

Assessing Kirk Cousins' chances of winning Comeback Player of the Year

If Kirk Cousins were asked what he wanted as his 36th birthday present, it would likely be staying healthy.

In Week 8 of last season, he tore his Achilles tendon against the Green Bay Packers. That would turn out to be the last game he played as a Minnesota Viking, as general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah opted not to re-sign him.

Now fully healthy, the four-time Pro Bowler suddenly finds himself possessing a potent enough offensive core of Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier, Drake London, Darnell Mooney, and Kyle Pitts to make the 2024 Falcons the first NFC South team since the 2021 Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win at least 10 games.

And that is not to mention the defensive Pro Bowlers that Falcons GM Terry Fontenot has acquired - trading for New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon and signing Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons as a free agent during this preseason.

Cousins is thus a strong candidate to become Comeback Player of the Year, with BetMGM currently having him at +500 - the third-highest odds behind Aaron Rodgers and Joe Burrow. Drew Dinsick, co-host of the NBC podcast Bet the Edge, discussed his chances of winning the award as follows:

"There's gonna be plenty of opportunities for Atlanta to fall exactly into that mold this year, and there's also plenty of scope for Atlanta not to win the South... Atlanta still has a lot of questions to answer, like there are a lot of things that I'm still not very much sold on."

Cousins's first game as a Falcon is expected to be against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 8.
