Aaron Rodgers is having a poor season and the Green Bay Packers are 4-7 in Week 12. Recent reports have emerged that Rodgers has been playing with a broken thumb since Week 5.

Rodgers' performance on the field is certainly getting impacted by his thumb injury and it is visible to everyone. Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 2,542 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions in 11 games this season.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport recently gave an update on Rodgers' thumb injury and said:

"#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' thumb injury is actually more serious than previously known. Sources describe it as an avulsion fracture. Incredible he's playing through it."

Here's how social media reacted to the new update on Aaron Rodgers' thumb injury:

The Green Bay Packers will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12, which is going to be another tough game for them. Many fans on social media want the Packers to give Jordan Love some chances as Rodgers is hurt.

If they lose to the Eagles tonight, the Packers' playoff hopes will realistically be over. As a result, it could be the right time for them to give Jordan Love some playing time and allow Rodgers to recover from his thumb injury.

Aaron Rodgers could shock everyone once again

Not many are expecting Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers to come away with a result against the Eagles tonight. This sets the perfect stage for the reigning NFL MVP to show everyone that he is still an elite quarterback.

He played extremely well against the Cowboys a few weeks ago. It is possible we could see a similar game from him against Jalen Hurts, who is an MVP candidate this season.

The Packers quarterback has a 4-2 record against the Eagles in his career. In those six games, he has a passer rating of 105.7 with 1,573 yards, 12 touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Heading into the game against the Eagles, the Packers are a +6.5 point underdog but it wouldn't be a surprise if Rodgers pulls something out of the hat to cause a massive upset.

Moreover, a loss for the Eagles to the Packers could change many things in the NFC playoff scenario. The Dallas Cowboys are breathing down the neck of the Eagles and will be rooting for Rodgers against them tonight. It will be interesting to see who takes the win on Sunday Night Football.
