"I think the right answer is neither" - NFL insider reckons Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will fall out of Super Bowl contention in 2023

Insider doesn't believe Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers will be in playoff contention this year

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are two of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. Brady is in his 23rd season in the league while Rodgers is in his 18th.

With the two veteran quarterbacks starting to age, father time is starting to creep up on the two.

Both their teams are on the brink of not making the playoffs this postseason, which is very unusual for the two quarterbacks.

On "Get Up," the group discussed whether or not Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers would make the playoffs this season. Former NFL linebacker Bart Scott gave his assessment and doesn't think either team will make the playoffs:

"But do you think I mean, I think if I were to pick one, it'd be Aaron Rodgers, because you could presume that maybe he has more years to play? I think the right answer is neither.
"I think you see the teams around them and the quarterbacks that are coming up, there are some really great players and some really, promising young teams. I think they are more likely going to have to go to a new location."

Scott added that the he doesn't think the experiment of Brady joining the San Francisco 49ers next season would work:

"And I'm not sure that San Francisco would want to go in on the Tom Brady experiment.
"It seemed like what Kyle Shanahan was looking for was a quarterback that could add another dimension, which is why he went after Trey Lance. I'm not sure that what he would be looking for right now is Tom Brady to add to that situation. So anybody in San Francisco has a shot to get to the Super Bowl, but I don't see either of them."

Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay Packers and Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers might not make the playoffs this season

Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As of right now, the Green Bay Packers aren't in the playoffs.

The Packers stand at 5-8 and are in third place in the NFC North, with the Minnesota Vikings taking a big lead at 10-3. With the entire NFC East having a winning record, it would be tough for the Packers, who are even behind the Detroit Lions, to clinch a playoff spot.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be in the playoffs today due to them being in first place in the weak NFC South division.

They only have a one-game lead over the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons and could miss the playoffs if they lose a few more games.
