Lamar Jackson visits Germany during offseason

Lamar Jackson is coming off another spectacular season with the Baltimore Ravens. He won his second NFL MVP award and helped his team make an appearance in the AFC conference championship game. As he looks to build on last year's success, Jackson has been visiting Germany during the 2024 NFL offseason.

He has reportedly been helping the NFL promote their international series games, which will include another event in Munich this year.

While overseas, Jackson recently shared a video of himself playing soccer at a Bayern Munich facility. Fans had mixed reactions to Jackson's offseason activities, with some being impressed with his athelticism while others criticized his focus on anything other than football.

Some fans supported Jackson:

"I feel like he would break ankles in any sport," said another.
"Patrick Mahomes could never do this. This is why Lamar is the GOAT," stated another.

Others called him out:

"You should switch to soccer because there are no playoffs for you to worry about," posted another.
"He's no Steve Nash, he's just a RB," responded another.

While some fans pointed out that Lamar Jackson likely could have found success in other sports, others suggested he shouldn't be messing around with anything other than football. His two MVP awards prove he's been one of the best overall players in the NFL during his career so far, but his regular-season success has been much greater than his playoff accomplishments.

Lamar Jackson's postseason struggles could hurt his legacy

Lamar Jackson has simply not been able to play to the same level of dominance during the playoffs as he has during the regular season in his career so far. He is one of only three active players, along with Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, to have won multiple NFL MVP awards. He is also the only one of those three without a ring and he is yet to appear in a Super Bowl.

During his run with the Ravens so far, Jackson has put up just a 2-4 playoff record and failed to win more than one game in any of his postseason appearances. This is highlighted by throwing for just six touchdowns and six interceptions in those six games. He will need to find a way to eventually change that narrative in order to solidify his legacy.
