Could Las Vegas Raiders draft Anthony Richardson after inking QB Jimmy Garoppolo to $67.5 million deal?

Could the Las Vegas Raiders add Anthony Richardson or another quarterback with the seventh-overall pick after signing Jimmy Garoppolo this off-season? Maybe.

The Raiders and Garoppolo agreed to a three-year, $67.5 million deal this off-season. Of the $67.5 million, $34 million of it is guaranteed.

This came after the team moved on from and released Derek Carr after having him for the last nine seasons as the team's starter.

The Raiders knew they had to replace Carr this off-season and agreed to terms with Garoppolo on the first day of free agency.

Garoppolo spent the last five-and-a-half seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He was demoted to backup quarterback last season but still played most of the season, going 7-3 as Trey Lance was out for most of the campaign.

Garoppolo proved last season that he can still be a good-quality starting quarterback.

Las Vegas could draft Richardson or a different QB prospect and let them develop under Garoppolo for a year or two before letting them take over as the team's franchise quarterback.

It's uncertain what the Raiders will do in the draft, but their interest in Richardson is real.

Do you think the Las Vegas Raiders will draft Richardson with the seventh-overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft?
