Aaron Rodgers is yet to get traded to the New York Jets, but the franchise has already started adding players to help their new quarterback. The Jets have already signed Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman this offseason and could also be in play for Odell Beckham Jr.

As per Jets insider Connor Hughes, the Jets have a real interest in OBJ. After trading Elijah Moore to the Cleveland Browns, the franchise could seriously pursue the former Los Angeles Rams receiver.

Here's what Hughes said:

"Sources: #Jets interest in Odell Beckham Jr. described to me as “very real." He and Aaron Rodgers are close and have discussed playing together in New York. Basically, Rodgers wants OBJ. With Elijah Moore gone .. opening is there."
"Nothing is imminent with Odell Beckham Jr, #Jets, but Aaron Rodgers has a desire to play with him. Interest is mutual. Just about finding a number that works for a special receiver, but one with some injury concerns."

Having Allen Lazard on the team will help Rodgers a lot, but the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. will be the icing on the cake. Rodgers loves to play with veteran players, and OBJ is certainly one of them.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback has already stated that he wants to play for the New York Jets, and it's just a matter of time before the trade gets done.

As per various reports, the Packers' demands for Rodgers aren't what the Jets are willing to give. As a result, the trade has stalled because the team from New York doesn't want to destroy their future for the four-time NFL MVP.

In the coming days, the picture will become clearer and Rodgers will get traded, but the Packers aren't going to let their quarterback walk away on a discount.

With the addition of Rodgers, the Jets will immediately become a Super Bowl contender. Moreover, if they are able to add Odell Beckham Jr. as well, they might have the best offense in the league by some distance.
