OJ Simpson asserts Miami's offense remains resilient despite Week 7 loss to Eagles: "Still a dangerous team"

The Miami Dolphins are still licking their wounds after the 31-17 loss to the Philadephia Eagles on Monday Night Football, but while some are doubting how good Miami is, OJ Simpson isn't.

For most, the Dolphins are in the "haven't really played anyone" group, and the two teams they have lost to have been the Buffalo Bills and now the Eagles. Of course, the Dolphins were missing a couple of defensive stars, and Jaylen Waddle was injured, but they still put up a good fight.

While some are now not considering the Dolphins a genuine Super Bowl threat after the offense was held to 17 points, its lowest total of the year, Simpson isn't writing off Mike McDaniel's team just yet.

Simpson, who was a guest on "It Is What It Is," was asked if the Dolphins' failures on offense against the Eagles changed the way he views them going forward.

Simpson said:

“No, it doesn't. Miami is still a dangerous team. They were running at this guy, No. 7, and they were losing yards almost every time they ran at him. And they waited to the second half to sort of change that. And that's when they start scoring. They still have a dangerous offense.”

After their Week 8 game against the New England Patriots, the Dolphins face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Depending on the result of these games, the Dolphins would be considered contenders or pretenders.

Of course, even if Miami loses, its season will still be alive, but many won't count the team in the Super Bowl bubble.
