In NFL Regular Season action, the Las Vegas Raiders took their game against the New England Patriots to overtime, but there is some scrutiny surrounding it. With the Raiders and Derek Carr needing a touchdown to tie, the quarterback launched the ball deep for Keelan Cole.

The receiver caught the pass, but it looked like he was out of bounds. However, after an official review, the call stood, much to the amazement of NFL fans everywhere.

What are the Patriots' odds to make it to the playoffs?

For most watching at home, Cole was "definitely" out of bounds on the play with one NFL fan saying it was clear and obvious he was out of bounds.

"Extremely clear and obvious."

Another fan flat out said that Cole was out of bounds.

"That was out. Period. It was clear and obvious that it was out. Idk what the league was looking at but if it was what everyone saw then something is terribly wrong with their eyes."

Other fans gave their thoughts on the call.

It is clear that every fan thinks that Cole was out of bounds. Unfortunately, the call stood for the Raiders.

What is clear and obvious rule in NFL?

Per the official NFL rulebook, clear and obvious means:

"An on-field ruling will be changed only when the Senior Vice President of Officiating or his or her designee determines that clear and obvious visual evidence warrants a change."

Per the official rule book, the Senior Vice President of Officiating thought that there was no "clear and obvious" visual evidence to overturn the on-field decision, which was a touchdown.

While that may seem odd given that most fans have access to the freeze-frame picture of Cole seemingly having his foot on the line, which would make him out of bounds.

The on-field call stood and many fans everywhere were left scratching their heads.
